Tattoo Reservation Form
Ayrshires can be identified using the official Ayrshire Breeders’ Association tattoo format. The format consists of 2-3 letters reserved by breeder, animal’s #, letter corresponding to birth year (see below). For example a calf born in 2025 would have the following tattoo format ABA1N. The letter for 2026 calves is P.
