ABA's Junior Recognition Programs

Outstanding Youth Award

Members who have submitted their records in the Junior Record Book Program and are between the ages of 16-21 are automatically qualified for the Outstanding Youth Award. The six finalists are invited to the National Ayrshire Convention to compete. Contestants are asked to give oral and visual presentations of their Ayrshire projects during the annual youth breakfast. An overall winner is selected based on their projects, involvement and presentation


Junior Production Awards

Junior production awards honor those individuals whose animals have reached superior production levels in milk, protein, energy corrected milk and fat with 24 different awards. All entrants are recognized with certificates. Category winners are presented with awards during the National Ayrshire Convention


National Ayrshire Princess Contest


Female Ayrshire youth over 16 years of age are eligible to compete in the National Ayrshire Princess Contest, held at the National Ayrshire Convention. Competing in categories such as leadership ability, knowledge of the Ayrshire breed and the dairy industry, the winner will serve as a spokesperson of the Ayrshire breed.
