Iowa Spring Extravaganza Sale
The Fayette County Fairgrounds, West Union, IA was the site of the Iowa Spring Extravaganza Sale on March 28. The sale averaged $1417 on the 43 live females that sold.
Mackayr Potter’s Paisley, a stylish winter yearling, consigned by Stephen McDonald , Princeton, IL topped the sale with a selling price of $4200. Todd, Connie, Megan and Ashley Bushman of Calmar, IA purchased this Des Prairies Potter daughter.
The second high selling animal was a recently fresh senior-two-year old Kellcrest Ice Man-ET daughter, Cool-Ayr Ice Rhythmn, consigned by David Coolidge, Rochester, MN. Yararabee Cows, LLC of Brooklyn, IA purchased the Mardel Plata granddaughter .
The sale was managed by the Iowa Ayrshire Association. Lynn Lee served as auctioneer with Eric Lang giving announcements.
